Peking university central library holds more than 2.63 million Chinese and foreign-language books, and more than 40,000 Chinese and foreign-language journals and newspapers. The foreign-language books are in more than 30 languages, and the foreign-language journals and newspapers are mainly in English. Approximately 50,000 books and 5,000 journals are added annually to the library. The library’s collections cover a wide range of subject areas and broad categories. Patrons can search books, journals and newspapers through the Library Catalogue.
