Rules of Special Resources

1、Special Reading Rooms for Book Viewing

The library has special reading rooms, including the Periodical Reading Room, the Dazhao Reading Room, the Celebrity Reading Room, the Special Collection Reading Room, and the Ancient Books Reading Room. The books in these reading rooms can be accessed through both open-shelf browsing and closed-shelf borrowing, but they are limited to in-library use only.


2、Newspaper and Journal Reading

Journals in the library are categorized by disciplines and are located in various reading areas or reading rooms. Current issues of natural science journals are available in the Natural Science Reading Hall (2nd floor of the east building), current issues of social science journals are available in the Social Science Reading Hall (3rd floor of the east building),. Current and back issues of humanities journals are available in the Periodical Reading Room (Room 409 in the west building). These materials are open-shelf and can only be read inside the library. The newspaper reading area is located in the central hall on the 3rd floor of the east building and is open-shelf for browsing.


3、Reference Book Reading

Reference books are categorized by disciplines and are located in various reading areas and reading rooms. Some natural science reference books are available in the Natural Science Reading Hall (2nd floor of the east building), some social science reference books are available in the Social Science Reading Hall (3rd floor of the east building), and reference books in humanities, as well as some natural and social science reference books, are available in the Periodical Reading Room (Room 409 in the west building). These materials are open-shelf and can only be read inside the library.


4、Rare and Valuable Ancient Books, Chinese old newspapers and periodicals published before October 1949, rubbings, etc., are generally only available for use by relevant faculty and graduate students of our university. They are limited to in-library use only.
