Recommend a Purchase

In order to meet the currentand potential needs for teaching, research and study from the faculty and students in Peking University, the library welcomes all the students and faculty to recommend books, periodicals, databases and other resources. We will try our best to meet your resource needs for research and study.

Logged in the Recommended Purchase System, users can choose "book recommendation", "periodical recommendation", "database recommendation" or "other recommendation" according to the type of recommended resources, and fill in the complete information about the recommended resources. The system will check and process the recommendation records. The resources which the library lack and are in line with the principles for collection will be purchased as soon as possible, and provided to readers in a timely manner after arriving at library.

Please read the instructions on the Recommended Purchase System homepage carefully before recommending. The procurement process for foreign books is complex and may take a long time. Recommendations for periodicals, large sets of books, databases, and other types of resources need to be evaluated overall.
